Our gite is stone built with beamed ceilings and an open tread staircase.
There are 2 bedrooms one with king sized bed and one with twin beds, a small bathroom with shower.
The living dining area has double French doors onto the garden and there is a DVD/CD and English TV.
Outside is a BBQ and picnic table in a private courtyard.
The pool has a small changing room and there are loungers and umbrellas for relaxing.
Bedding and towels are provided apart from those for swimming. Gas and Electricity are also included in the price.
We have bikes for a spin down our country lanes and plenty of chairs for taking life easy.
LOCAL AREA
Hanc is a pretty stone built village with country lanes ideal for strolling or biking. Horse riding is available in the next village. Chef Boutonne a small market town is five minutes drive away and here you will find shops and all amenities including pleasant restaurants and a small chateau.
Further afield you might visit La Rochelle on the coast or inland Cognac where a visit can include a chance to see how cognac is made and of course to taste some. For the intrepid traveller you can reach Paris for the day using the TGV train.
