The cottage is situated just off the Rue du Petit Fort, a pedestrianised street which is a continuation of the Rue Jerzual leading down from the town centre to the river port.
Parking is nearby, unallocated, and not a problem! (Though you may wish to practise your hill starts…)
Access to the cottage is independent of the owner's house via a garden entrance.
The Accommodation
The Accommodation is 'cosy' but of an open design - good natural light and simple décor without loss of character.
The Lounge/Diner is comfortably furnished and faces out onto the garden.
The Kitchen Corner is more suited to preparing a cooked breakfast, simple lunch or supper than a four course gourmet meal. The facilities comprise Sink/Fridge/2 hotplates/small oven with grill/ electric kettle.
Stairs lead to the double bedroom with ensuite shower room and WC.
There is a continuous supply of hot water.
The cottage has central heating and a cast-iron coal-effect fire for comfort on those chilly summer evenings.
RadioCD Player provided. Iron and Board available. Use of owner's washing-machine by arrangement.
The Garden - Guests staying in Albertine have the use of Brenda's unique garden. Covering approximately a quarter of an acre it is sited on three levels linked by a spiral staircase and stone steps. Each garden has its own special appeal and offers stunning views over the rooftops of Dinan and to the hillside beyond.
As a passionate gardener, Brenda is still in the process of developing her ideas though she has already achieved wonders in the eyes of those who witnessed the challenge she took on. This winter and spring should see the installation of a sculpture and a water feature.
She welcomes the opportunity of sharing her project with you - be it to wine and dine in the lower 'dry garden'; relax and sunbathe in the perfumed middle garden; or study the wildlife and stargaze in the upper woodland garden!
Not suitable for children or pets.
Smokers are requested not to smoke indoors.
