Within driving distance of the Channel ports, the Vendée offers fabulous unspoilt beaches that stretch for miles. Champ Saint Père is 20 minutes from the beach in an area of gently rolling hills and wooded lanes.
Location: Between La Roche Sur Yon and La Tranche Sur Mer.
The Anglo-French owners live in the neighbouring hamlet and are always on hand to give help and local knowledge.
Les Rivières:

Old stone built Vendeenne barn transformed into a splendid country house sleeping 10 plus babies. Ideal for two or more families sharing or a family gathering. The house faces south and looks over water meadows and woods. The grounds extend to approximately 5 acres and border the Graon river.
The south facing patio leads onto the 5m by 10m swimming pool with garden furniture and barbecue.

Les Gats:
Renovated farmhouse - sleeps 8 in four bedrooms
Les Gats is a very small hamlet, part of the village of Champ Saint Père. The cottage looks out over a wooded valley with walks down to the lakeside. For fishing, we believe there is a variety of fish in the lake and fishing permits can be obtained nearby. The area is very quiet. The cottage is an ideal base from which to enjoy the sandy beaches and yet still have the tranquility of the Vendeen countryside. It is about 4 km from Champ Saint Père.
The garden is enclosed. The 10 x 5 m swimming pool is fenced and there is a covered eating area next to the pool house. Wash room with washing machine are also part of the pool house.
Ground floor: Large sitting room with open fire place, dining room, kitchen fitted with dishwasher, split level cooker, fridge, microwave. Double room with ensuite shower, wc.

LOCAL AREA
Champ Saint Père is a small rural community of 1500 inhabitants. It offers a bakery, a newsagent, a post-office, a pharmacy, several bars, a restaurant and an excellent supermarket. It is surrounded by well organised footpaths and cycle tracks through delightful shady woodland.
The region is within easy touring distance of the Loire chateaux, the medieval town of Parthenay and the Marais Poitevin. Futuroscope, a cinematic theme park, and the enormously popular Puy du Fou with its "Son et Lumière" are well worth visiting. There is also an excellent local Golf Course and four others nearby which participate in a Golf Pass Scheme, and the Indian Forest adventure park is only 8km.
