All three properties at Bois Bourdet have been equipped and modernised to an exceptional standard, yet still retain their original character and charm.
Delicious, home-cooked evening meals are available at a cost of 25€ per person and include an aperitif, wine and coffee, either on your private terrace or in our dining room.
All guests have full use of our heated swimming pool (11m x 5m) with Roman steps at one end and a lovely terrace for sunbathing and relaxing.
Explore and relax in our extensive grounds.
A high chair and travel cot are available on request at no extra charge. Laundry facilities are available on site.
The Farmhouse (sleeps 4-7)
In the private wing, with its own entrance.

Two bedrooms – each with en suite bathroom, one with a double bed, the other with twin beds.
For groups of more than 4, we have a third bedroom for up to 3, either with a double bed and a single, or three single beds.
La Bergerie (sleeps 4-5)
Beautiful converted barn with stunning high vaulted ceiling and exposed beams.
Fully fitted kitchen area with dishwasher and washing machine.
Open-plan lounge/diner with TV/DVD and CD player. Books and games available.

Two bedrooms – one with a double bed, the other with twin beds. The twin room also has a mezzanine area for a further single bed.

La Petite Maison (sleeps 2 plus a baby or young child)
Formerly a barn, with a "four à pain" (bread oven), now a stunning feature in the bedroom! Exposed stone walls and original oak beams a romantic rural retreat for couples.
Open-plan living room with sitting, dining and kitchen areas. The kitchen area is fully equipped, including dishwasher.
The sitting area has a double sofa bed - books and games to suit all ages available.
Private terrace with garden furniture and barbecue.
One bedroom with luxurious en suite shower room.
Bed & Breakfast
Our Bed & Breakfast rooms are classified by Gîtes-de-France as "3 Epis" - "Chambres de grand confort". Guests are welcome to relax in our grounds and to swim in our heated swimming pool.
There are four rooms - two with double beds, the third has twin beds and the fourth is a family room for 3-5 people. All the rooms are newly renovated, tastefully decorated and have en suite bathroom facilities.
Crisp white cotton sheets, white fluffy towels and handmade toiletries are provided to ensure that your stay is both restful and luxurious.
Continental breakfast is served either on the terrace or in the main dining room.
4-course evening meals available every day (on request). We are happy to cater for vegetarians and guests with special dietary requirements.
We have a real passion for food and for using fresh, high quality ingredients for our Aga-cooked meals.
We run AGA cookery workshops - please contact the owners for details.
LOCAL AREA
We are less than 10 minutes from Souvigné for shops, supermarkets, boulangeries and markets and the historic town of St-Maixent-l'Ecole is just 5 miles away.
There are acres of beautiful countryside to explore on bike or on foot. The many leisure and sporting activities include horseriding, golf, boating, fishing, rock climbing, canoeing, go-karting or even hot air ballooning!
There are lots of traditional village markets, great wines and local food to sample.
Lac du Lambon (10 minutes) has swimming, fishing, canoeing and windsurfing and the Marais Poitevin (Green Venice) is just a 25-minute drive.
Highlights for visits include Parthenay, Poitiers, Cognac, Saintes, La Rochelle and the Atlantic coast.
