The Property
Le Chat Chocolat is less than an hour's drive from the airports of Rouen and Beauvais and the ferry port of Dieppe, and a two hour drive from Calais. It is just off the D915 road from Forges-les-Eaux to Gournay-en-Bray, situated on the opposite side of the road from the eye-catching Château de Bray on the edge of the village of Saumont-la-Poterie.
The dining room and lounge both feature exposed beams, the latter also boasting an enormous traditional stone inglenook fireplace complete with woodburning stove - ideal for cosy log fires and roasted chestnuts on those chillier winter evenings, although the house is centrally-heated throughout.
The long, enclosed verandah is equipped with an American-style snooker/pool table. During their stay, guests are welcome to borrow books, games and videos from our extensive libraries, and to purchase mementoes from our eclectic range of gifts and souvenirs.
At the rear of the house, overlooking green fields, woods and rolling hillsides, we have a covered patio/barbecue area.
The four pretty, characterful and comfortable ensuite guest bedrooms (one featuring a king-size four-poster bed) are spacious and well-equipped - as well as the usual bedroom furniture and furnishings, we provide:

full length mirror, hair-dryer, & dressing table with mirror
television and video-tape player
bookcase or shelf with a selection of books
Each bedroom is self-contained with its own private modern bath or shower room.
For the benefit of those guests who have difficulty with stairs, two guest rooms are on the ground floor, one with no steps and one with a ramp available for wheelchairs.

Our enchanting former farmhouse nestles into the rolling countryside in an historical pottery-making village just outside the delightful market town of Forges-les-Eaux with its thermal spa, casino and numerous tourist attractions.
Le Chat Chocolat can be what you want it to be: a quiet haven and a relaxing environment, or it can be a place of entertainment for you, or a base from which to explore and enjoy the region.
We offer a range of games and activities including a quarter-size snooker / pool table, quoits, boules, playing cards, undercover table tennis, practice basketball basket, badminton, splash pool and numerous board games.
For any group wishing to book all four guest rooms at Le Chat Chocolat and wanting to have organised entertainment, ask us about a Murder Mystery Evening, or a Gala Dinner with cabaret, or a karaoke night, quiz / competition nights, etc.
We will, of course, supply all our guests with lots of information about the local area (with maps), leisure activities, shopping, day membership at Club Med's Thermal Spa centre, etc.
